Ashutosh Gowariker’s big-ticket film Mohenjo Daro releases tomorrow but the director has already planned another film. Albeit, he will just produce it and not direct it. Says a source, “Ashutosh’s production team is in talks with the writers of Queen, who have written a superb script for the production house. Ashu will be backing that project.”
Much like Queen, this film too will have a ‘heroine as the central protagonist’, reveals our source. “It’s an out and out comedy which is completely centred around the character of this one girl.”
Our source adds, “Ashu has approached Athiya with the film. She hasn’t read the script yet. She will be getting a narration soon. And after that she will decide if she wants to be a part of the project.”
Ashutosh Gowariker has given Pooja Hegde a big break in Bollywood with Mohenjo Daroafter spotting her in an advertisement. And now it looks like he is trying to give Athiya a break. Athiya’s first film – Hero alongside Sooraj Pancholi tanked and she has not signed any film since. Reports suggest that she has not been offered many films, however this project might be the BIG break that she needs! After all she is Suniel Shetty’s daughter and acting is in her blood.
Meanwhile, Ashutosh is gearing up for the release of Mohenjo Daro today. The period love story between Hrithik and Pooja has run into lot of controversy after historians pointed out a lot of historical inaccuracies. However, people are still excited to see the film.
