Dehradun, July 17
Contractual employees of the Uttarakhand Organic Commodity Board continued with their dharna at the Parade ground here today in support of their demand for regularisation of service.
Led by Sarvesh Sharma, board’s contractual employees said despite their hard work no justice was done to them.
“Most of us are working since 2003 but our services are still to be regularised,” Gurudev Rana, one of the protesters said. He added they did not get their wages for the last several months and it had become difficult for them to make both ends meet. He accused the organic board authorities of rendering step-motherly treatment to the contractual employees.
Tikaram Uniyal, Yashwant Bisht and Jagdish Joshi took part in the protest.
