We all know that Coldplay is coming to India, but they have planned to do something even more than just play music…

A few days back, news broke out that Coldplay is coming to India! Everyone was super excited, but as soon as they heard that the tickets would cost Rs 25,000 the enthusiasm turned into sorrow… However, the Global Citizen foundation revealed that the famous band is coming to Mumbai for the Global Citizen festival and the tickets would be FREE!We did reveal to you how you can get these free tickets too! Don’t remember? Well you basically had to enroll with the organisation and help them in eradicating poverty from India. You also had to help them educate the underprivileged and help improve the sanitation of the country. Ain’t that cool? So the Coldplay concert is a part of a revolution that is being planned for the country. Here you are not only helping the country get better but in return, you get to party with the likes of Jay Z, Coldplay, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor and more!

However, the Global Citizen foundation had told us to wait a while before the enrollment process would begin. Why? Well, coz they were planning to launch the Global Citizen India project at an event in Mumbai and that took place today. Yes, all the biggies including Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Maharshtra CM Devendra Fadnavis came together and launched this unique project to help India become a better place. All the stars came together and spoke about the project at length before announcing that the enrollment for the Global Citizen campaign in India has begun.

We also hear that Aamir Khan shot for an ad film – Shuruaat Hoon Main recently for the Global Citizen campaign in India. At the launch event today, the celebs addressed the sanitation, education and gender equality issues and its significance. While Kareena gave out a very powerful speech on all the issues, it was Amitabh ji and Aamir’s camaraderie that stole the show.

If you didn’t know, the Global Citizen Festival will take place on November 19 at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai with a focus on education, sanitation, clean water and gender equality. Coldplay, Jay Z, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor, Arijit Singh and a few others would perform at this special charity event.
