The actress is constantly working to redefine and refine her acting skills with movies such as Finding Fanny, Piku and Bajirao Mastani, as she herself has said on many occasions. But one area where the XXX: Return of Xander Cage actor has been been on point each and every time, is with her street style and red carpet looks.

Padukone has come a long way from the days of Om Shanti Om and it’s there for everyone to see. Also, the insane number of women who have been following her and taking inspiration from her style diaries is a proof in itself of her growing dominance and influence in the fashion circle. From gowns to saris, this actress likes to experiment and has delighted us over the years. There’s hardly a dull moment with her and the one thing we noticed is that Padukone loves dressing up in Indian wear as much as she loves donning Western. In a recent conversation with Vanity Fair, she confessed how she would, if given a chance, love to step out in a sari as opposed to a gown.

Padukone said, “It’s always important for clothes to be an extension to your personality. My most favourite garment is the sari. If I had a choice between a gown and a sari, I would wear a sari.”
