Bajaj Pulsar VS400: Here is everything you need to know

Bajaj Pulsar VS400, the powerful cruiser from the Pune-based two-wheeler maker, has been keeping biking enthusiasts on tenterhooks since its first appearance at the Auto Expo2014. The bike has taken almost two years to take shape after the first concept was showcased, and is currently on the Indian roads for its final testing before its launch in the country.
Bajaj Pulsar VS400, popularly known by its concept name Pulsar CS400, is one of the most-awaited and desired models of 2016. The VS in the Pulsar stands for Vantage Sport.
While Bajaj has managed to keep the launch date of the Pulsar VS400 in the dark so far, the latest development hints at the approaching launch of the model. As biking enthusiasts eagerly wait to press the throttle of the Pulsar VS400, we bring you all the details of the upcoming offering from Bajaj.
The Pulsar VS400 has been caught on camera several times while it was being tested on the public roads. From the spy images, one can deduce that the bike remains identical to its concept, except for minor tweaks. Bajaj Pulsar VS400 gets twin instrument console — one on the handlebar as seen in other bikes and the other on the fuel tank and wide tyres. It will get an all-black exhaust, newly-designed split seats, disc brakes for both wheels and alloy wheels with a new look in its production guise.
At the heart of the Pulsar VS400, the most powerful bike to come out of Bajaj's stable, is likely to be a 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark engine, which will churn out 40hp of peak power and around 30Nm of torque. The engine is expected to come mated to six-speed transmission with fuel injection.
Bajaj is expected to launch the Pulsar VS400 in two variants — with ABS and without ABS. The Pulsar VS400 would be priced in the range of Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
